This 49-year old man from Swalala is HIV-positive and has cancer in the testicles. He drinks his treatment well, but he is suffering from severe pain where they have done the operation, and his wound is leaking. He lives alone in a two-room house, and does not get any social grant.
We referred him to the Social Development Department to apply for a social grant. We gave him pain killers, savlon, and linen saver, and we told him to bathe the area with warm salt water.
